Inspiration for this umbrella stand was found in the shape of an umbrella, as can be seen in antique predecessors. The handle has been conceived as a hook for the foldable umbrella's. It’s a contemporary interpretation of a classic product typology.

Richard Hutten
Richard Hutten, born in 1967 in the Netherlands, graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1991. That same year he founded his studio and became a founding member of Droog Design, a collective that transformed the design field. Today, Hutten is known for his conceptual and playful designs, such as the famous Dombo mug, which has sold over a million pieces. His work is featured in over 40 museums worldwide, including MoMA in New York and the Vitra Designmuseum. He works and lives in Rotterdam.

Ghidini 1961 is an Italian design brand specializing in high-quality brass metalwork. Founded in 1961 as Ghidini Giuseppe Bosco, the company initially produced brass lighting components. In 2016, it was rebranded as Ghidini 1961 to merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, expanding into furniture and decorative objects.
The brand collaborates with renowned designers like Stefano Giovannoni and Nika Zupanc. Recent additions to their furniture collection include the Tasca Sofa by Robert Stadler, the modular Mambo Sofa by Lorenza Bozzoli, and the Flo Sofa, also by Bozzoli.
