DESIGNER
Edvin Ståhl
Edvin Ståhl, born in 1896 in Lammhult, Sweden, had an early passion for furniture. In the late 1920s, he and his brothers started a furniture company focused on home and office pieces. After selling it to KF, he continued to lead it while also starting Lammhults Mechanical Workshop AB in 1945, which made fittings for local furniture makers. About ten years later, he began designing his own furniture, and the company was renamed Lammhults Möbel AB. The first pieces, a stool called **282** and a chair series named **Pyramid**, featured bent steel tubing. This marked the company's shift from subcontractor to furniture producer. Edvin's goal was to create practical, timeless, and simple designs, a philosophy that still guides Lammhults today. In his honor, Lammhults has relaunched the original stool, now called **Taburett**.
