Carlo Santi (1925-2004) and Vittorio Borachia (1920-2015) were an architectural duo who met as students in Milan. They collaborated on design and urban planning, and were part of the lighting company **Arteluce**, founded by Gino Sarfatti. The duo was guided by industrial techniques and materials, and aimed for an elegant, essential style in their work with plastic, wood, and glass. They continued to explore lighting and furniture design, both together and individually, throughout their careers.
