The 80% recycled aluminum frame is available in Emeco's signature hand brushed finish or a black powder coat. Emeco's inhouse powder coat colors are available for all Navy Officer chair frames. We also offer COM/COL upholstery.

The 1 Inch, Alfi, and Navy Officer collections showcase Emeco and Jasper Morrison's shared appreciation for the invisible qualities of simplicity. The partnership began after Emeco's Gregg Buchbinder saw Morrison's "Super Normal" exhibition in Tokyo, recognizing a fit between the designer's philosophy and Emeco's values. Throughout their work, Morrison's "rigorous attention to every detail" has consistently impressed Buchbinder.
ABOUT THE BRAND
Emeco, or The Electric Machine and Equipment Company, is an American furniture brand established in 1944. Originally, it supplied furniture to the U.S. Navy, creating the legendary 1006 "Navy Chair" from recycled aluminum. This chair became an enduring classic. The brand's philosophy centers on sustainability and minimalism, using recycled and reclaimed materials like aluminum and PET plastic. Emeco has collaborated with renowned designers such as Philippe Starck, Jasper Morrison, and Konstantin Grcic, blending modern design with its core values of strength, simplicity, and sustainability.
