Gae Aulenti
Gae Aulenti was a leading Italian architect and designer celebrated for her ability to blend historical preservation with modern design. She was particularly dedicated to exhibition design and architectural restoration. Her projects include the conversion of a Paris train station into the **Musée d'Orsay** and the interior design of the **Centre Pompidou**. Throughout her career, she won numerous awards, including the prestigious **Praemium Imperiale for Architecture**. Just before her death in 2012, she received a career prize from the Triennale in Milan. In tribute to her legacy, a major circular square in Milan, Piazza Gae Aulenti, was named in her honor.
