DESIGNER
Salvador Dalí
Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), born in Catalonia, was a Surrealist painter formally trained in Madrid. He experimented with Cubism and was influenced by Dada, Futurism, and the great masters of the Renaissance. In 1929, he joined the Surrealist movement and became its most famous member. His work was known for its shocking and exciting nature, combining diverse elements into a concrete irreality. Dalí also collaborated with designers, such as Jean-Michel Frank, to bring his expressive and strange designs into reality as furniture and objects.
