D43R Chair

D43R is the swivel version on a 5-spoke base of the D43 cantilever chair.‎

He taught Max Frisch, was acquainted with Otto Dix, Paul Klee and Max Liebermann and designed a special chair: William Dunkel, later professor of architecture at ETH Zurich, designed the D15 chair for Tecta in the 1960s.‎ Tecta carefully adapted the chair to the ergonomic needs of today and translated it into a contemporary design.‎

Each seat shell is woven by hand in Lauenförde.‎ The other materials are also exclusively “Made in Germany”, like the durable and tear-resistant polypropylene weave is made exclusively for Tecta in a medium-sized company in the Sauerland region.‎ The precision steel tubes in cantilever quality are bent, ground and surface-treated at a specialized metal processor.‎

The result is D43, a chair that is traditionally made but equipped with contemporary comfort.‎ A furniture that reflects the poetry of modernity, but skillfully combines it with the needs of today.‎
