DESIGNER
Gunilla Allard
Gunilla Allard began her design career in 1988 after studying interior and furniture design at Konstfack in Stockholm and being selected for a Lammhults workshop. She became the company's first female designer, and their long-standing collaboration has resulted in a wide range of furniture. Her most famous design is the **Cinema easy chair**, created in 1994 with inspiration from vintage sports cars. Allard's work, which also includes kitchens, glassware, and lighting, is known for its "strict, minimalistic and elegant design," as noted by the jury of the George Jensen prize, one of her many awards. Her focus on proportions and details has established her as a leading figure in contemporary Scandinavian design.
