Freely inspired by the starship Enterprise from Star Trek, Bascula is one of the first lamps to feature a slim disc suspended from a single cable. The conical counterweight balances the disc, keeping the lamp in a horizontal or slanted position, and also directs the light emission.

Originally from Tokyo and a painter, this designer discovered a passion for product design in Italy. Starting in the 1980s, he became known for creating innovative lighting that remains beautiful and contemporary. He has consistently worked in both Italy and Japan, and his collaboration with Stilnovo continues today, building on the masterpieces he created for the brand in the past.
