Azadi

A traditional Zilu design, the Azadi rug was named after the Azadi Tower in Tehran, drawing inspiration from the geometric patterns found on the tower's arch.‎ Revitalized by Edelgrund with the use of high-quality wool, it inherits the exceptional standard of the Heritage collection's double-sided Kilims made in Yazd.‎ Crafted with a flatweave style, it blends 90% Wool and 10% Cotton, ensuring both durability and comfort.‎

EDELGRUND's Heritage collection is inspired by the traditional Zilu carpets of Yazd, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.‎ Renowned for their thickness and double-sided construction, these carpets have long been used as durable floor coverings in mosques, a tradition that continues to this day.‎ The collection reflects Yazd's rich history and cultural heritage, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities to create timeless pieces that honor the past while enhancing contemporary spaces.‎
