DESIGNER
Alessandro Mendini
Alessandro Mendini (1931–2019), architect, designer, artist and critic, was born in Milan. He was one of the leading theorists and promoters of the renewal of Italian design. Throughout his career, he served as editor of the magazines Casabella, Modo and Domus. Numerous monographs on his work, as well as on the projects developed with his design groups, have been published in several languages.
ABOUT THE BRAND
In the years of sobriety and form-function rigour, Baleri Italia became the highest expression of a certain idea of design, pragmatic and at the same time utopian, in pursuit of the authentic, non-obsolescent, inconspicuous, coherent, international object.
